Making his first foray into the world of music at the age 9, AR Rahman's musical journey has been the stuff of legends. The doyen, who redefined contemporary Indian music by blending Western and classical influences into film music, has sold more than 150 million copies of his work comprising more than 100 film soundtracks and albums across over half a dozen languages.
Taking to music composition for cinema in the 1990s, the composer has given some of the most iconic tunes to Bollywood in the last two decades.
